Creature
It all started with my trusty Canon and my cat, Mittens.
Mittens' nickname was Tyra Banks, because she took to the camera like a supermodel. After her passing, Meatball the Airedale and Nueve the street cat came into my husband's and my life, and shortly after, my camera's lens was trained on them. Soon, I began asking friends and strangers if I could photograph their pets...and most of the time, they obliged. In the summer of 2011, I spent 2 months working on a ranch in Southeastern Arizona, and had the chance to photograph a broader range of animals.
With every creature I photograph, I try to capture the glint in their eyes, the swagger in their four-footed step, and - wild or domestic - the joy they bring.
