Land
For me, landscape photography came later, after the pictures of creatures and humans. Getting the right equipment was key, as was the practice. Now, after being a bit more comfortable behind a big telephoto lens, I oscillate between loving macro - the up close shots of plants and trees - and being awed by the broad sweeping vistas that the earth provides me. With each passing season and landscape I find myself in, I take out my trusty camera and look through its lens. In this case, practice doesn't make perfect (there's no such thing!), but practice does allow me to take in the infinitely complex and beautiful world we find ourselves in.
